2024 Fall Mini Sessions

We're so excited to be back with THREE dates for our fall 2024 mini-sessions! Can't wait to catch up with all our fave clients, and make plenty of new friends. Mini-sessions are 20 minutes each, at one of the locations we have established on the specific dates below. Sessions are available for a maximum of six people in one single group (extended/large family sessions cannot be accommodated with minis). You have a maximum of five minutes of leeway, beyond that time cannot be extended as there may be another client waiting right after you.

 

Details: We're doing things a little more streamlined this year! Each mini-session includes ALL final edited images from the session as digital downloads. At least 40 images will be included in a private gallery for you. No need to pick and choose, you get the works.

Safety: Since a new bout of Covid has been happening this summer (among other illnesses), we just wanted to mention that we're vaxxed and your safety is important to us! We'll be outside in the open-air, but request that if you or any member of your family is feeling unwell, please reach out and we will reschedule you for everyone's safety.

Locations: You'll receive an email with detailed instructions for getting to the exact meeting spot after booking.

20-Minute Afternoon Mini Session: Sunset Cliffs

SUNDAY, SEPT 22ND, 2024 - MAGICAL COASTAL MINIS AT SUNSET CLIFFS

 

I've been offering historic and rustic minis for ages, but this will be the very first time I offer coastal minis! This simple area is all about the gorgeous view, and really captures that San Diego pacific energy. From the sandy golden cliffs to the cool blue of the ocean, it's a gem! There is, of course, a chance of crowds on a weekend, but the beauty of the coast is that if we need to move on down the way a little, no problemo. This option is less about lots of variety or locations and more about the simplicity of an incredible vista, and gorgeous results. Backdrops include:

 

  • The dramatic cliff formations
  • The dreamy Pacific ocean view
  • The sandstone textures  (we'll have picnic blankets available if you want to settle in and cozy up!)

 

Please note that this is NOT a beach session. We will remain ON the cliffs for the duration of the session. This is a full-sun area, with little shade. This location offers ample street parking along Sunset Cliffs Blvd, as well as a few tiny lots right near the cliffs, but bear in mind that the ground here is uneven and craggy, so appropriate shoes are necessary. Please keep in mind that none of the above locations are guaranteed, and due to unforeseen events, it's possible a location change could be necessary. In the case of inclement weather, events may be rescheduled.

20-Minute Afternoon Mini Session: Peñasquitos Trails

SUNDAY, OCT 6th, 2024 -  DARLING RUSTIC MINIS AT LOS PENASQUITOS CANYON TRAILS

 

We're back with so much rustic fun! The timeless rustic views of California's rolling hills can't be beat. Los Peñasquitos Canyon Trails cover lots of space from open tall grasses landscape views to beautiful old growth trees and a charming stream! But not to worry, we'll keep things convenient, should be no more than a 5-minute walk from parking. We'll be at the North end of the park, an area featuring the following vibes to choose from:

 

  • An open golden landscape backdrop
  • Nooks with tall dried grasses
  • The lovely old-growth patch of gnarled trees (great for shade for earliest sessions)
  • Charming little bubbly stream
  • Cute little rustic fences 

 

This location is quite close to baseball fields, and as a result, offers plenty of public parking. However, should a game be on, it may be necessary to park in a further lot and the walk might be a little longer. Allow yourself lots of extra time to arrive and seek out parking just in case! These are rustic trails, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Please keep in mind that these could all be busy areas, and none of the above locations are guaranteed should other people be shooting photos there at the same time. Due to unforeseen events, it's possible a location change could be necessary. In the case of inclement weather, events may be rescheduled.
